Where to Learn
I've reshared this every year for the past few years saying that I fully support it. However, this year I don't. Lemme explain.
I support the idea of a space for education, learning, thoughtfulness, wisdom, kindness, etc. However, the world is changing and there are many ways to learn. Some people learn best through words (like myself) and would benefit greatly from a study or library room. Others learn by doing (whether in real life or in a simulated event).
Yes, there are video games that are all about violence and hate. No, I don't support them. But I also don't play video games in general, because that's not how my brain works nor does it excite me. Others learn from video games, though. They learn about coordination, leadership, fulfilling tasks.
So, if a guy wants a man cave, let him have it. I don't mean for him to have it consume his life and to give up his responsibilities. But if it helps him to de-stress and learn at the same time I'm all for it (I'm not saying it needs to be an expensive thing, take care of responsibilities first).
If he wants a study, let him have it.
Basically, if a guy wants a place to learn and relax, let him pick what's best for him.
**I know, I know women need a place to themselves as well. I totally agree. The same principle applies: let her choose what's best for her.
