Blessing Others: Suicide Prevention & Support for Those Left Behind
I've had friends and acquaintances who have been affected by suicide or have committed suicide. <3 If you're in the Fairbanks area, I encourage you to participate in this walk.. it's not for a few weeks.
To those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, mental or physical illness, or many other factors that may lead to thoughts of suicide: you are loved. You are enough. This life is meant to be challenging. But it can also provide opportunities for growth and learning. There will be opportunities to bless and teach others. I know that doesn't provide all the answers, or the peace that is desired. But please remember, that at the very least, there is a glimmer of hope. <3
Also, to those who are struggling: whether you've been affected by a friend or family member's attempts, thoughts, or success at suicide please remember that you are loved and that you are enough.
For those not in the Fairbanks area, let's work together to identify ways to help and support those around us who are struggling. Let's not let anyone slip through the cracks. We are all children of God with a divine purpose. Let's not forget that.
Love,
D. J. Lathrop
