Life isn't a contest.
A few weeks ago I was wearing an outfit that made me feel really beautiful, so I posted a picture on my Instagram. I almost didn't. Because I am super self-conscious of my looks. And my weight. And so many other little things.
The caption on that picture read: "I don't want to spend my time worrying about size & looks. I want to spend my life happy & looking for ways to improve- my health, my complexion, my love for life."
Too often I focus on the superficial parts of my life. I want to stop that. I want to realize and appreciation the small things. Whether I like them or not. I want to love my entire self, not just bits and pieces. I want to admit that I have imperfections, and while I might not love them individually, I can love how they create me. They give me my personality.
