Bucket List Year 27!
Denali’s Year 27 Bucket List:
- Eat a meal from another culture (that I haven’t already tried).
- Send 2 entries a month for publication (poems, short stories, etc.)
- Attend a work conference.
- Submit 2 items to the Southern Quill (1 poem, 1 short story).
- Put lyrics to music, at least 1 song.
- Continue my portfolio for creative works. (Talk to advisors and see if my publishing it can count towards my Capstone. Writing and presenting about the process of creating these things, finding a publisher, and the entire process of from mind to page and into someone else’s hands).
- Attend a conference for a school group/club/organization. (Sigma Tau Delta, The Southern Quill)
- Review a manuscript (from another author).
- Attend the temple 2x a month (until it closes in November, then make 1 trip to either Cedar City or Las Vegas, per semester).
- On fast Sundays write down my testimony (keep a testimony journal).
- Submit a publication for the school newspaper.
- Blog once a month (both accounts: personal, nature).
- Manuscript of my memoir (will be using chapters from it for my creative nonfiction class).
- Start a brag book/career portfolio.
- Barnes & Noble/bookstore/library date.
- Get new glasses.
- Grow my Instagram review account → more posts, more followers, networking with businesses.
- Attend 1 webinar or free class per season.
- Get a houseplant and DON’T kill it!
- Make goals and plans on how to continue our family history.
- Make my family history documents available to the rest of the immediate fam.

Y’all, this might be my favorite Bucket List yet! Not just because a lot of these things are already started ;)
I’m really excited for this list because:
(1) I’m 27, my favorite # of ALL TIME! Which means that this is bound to be a FANTASTIC year!
(2) A lot of these goals have to do with my educational and career goals, so this year I’m going to spend some time building my resume, my portfolio, and, ultimately, setting myself up for success.
(3) A few of these were suggested to me by other people. My love language is quality time AND I love helping others to succeed, so included those on this list. Seeing another person accomplish something they’ve wanted to do & spending some quality time with some laughs and good memories to look back on? Count me in!
(4) I purposefully left a few spaces blank. Over the past few years I haven’t been able to accomplish everything on my Bucket List, but I have accomplished other things, so I wanted to leave these open for that purpose.
