Serve

The #SabbathDay is my day to recharge and renew. Yesterday in Sunday School there wasn't a lesson prepared, so we shared our favorite scriptures and our testimonies of them 💚 Colton shared a verse that talks about serving God with all our heart, might, mind, and strength (Doctrine and Covenants 59:5 --> https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/59?lang=eng ). This scripture was again referenced in Relief Society! I love when things correlate. It was a good experience to write down ways that I can better serve God and my fellow men :D Because really it's not hard. At the end of December I realized that I'd been selfish and prideful. I didn't look for opportunities to serve and if opportunities arose I justified not serving. I made a goal a few weeks ago that I didn't want to be that person any more. Heavenly Father blesses me in so many ways, usually through the kind words or actions of someone else. But if they didn't follow promptings from the Holy Ghost, I wouldn't have received those blessings. I want to be an instrument in the Lord's hands, so I'm taking steps now to become more like Him. 💚 #SundayLearnings #ServeHim #latergram
