Enough

Earlier today I wrote that certain people are put into my life. To help me learn. To support me. So I can help them. Support them.

That happened just now. A friend shared a link to a beautiful blog post. About being enough.

Here are my favorite quotes:

"You're the girl that overthinks everything. The one who worries about everyone before worrying about herself. You're the girl who loves with her whole heart. You jump in with no hesitations. You're also the girl who's had her heart broken because of it. The one who at the end of the day begins to question everything."

"The things you see as flaws or imperfections make you the wonderful woman you are."

Here's the link to it:

I need reminders. Maybe not daily, but often. And no, I don't need a man to complete my life. I do want to fall in love and get married, but I don't want that to be my focus in life.

I have many aspects of my life to improve in, and to review to see how far I've come.

I'm religious. So I also need to remind myself that although I'm not perfect, if I'm following God's commandments then I'm doing pretty good.

Before my friend posted that article on Facebook, I had been reading an article from my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

The address can be found here: https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2016/10/am-i-good-enough-will-i-make-it?lang=eng&_r=1

And my favorite part of it was this:

"We torture ourselves needlessly by competing and comparing. We falsely judge our self-worth by the things we do or don’t have and by the opinions of others. If we must compare, let us compare how we were in the past to how we are today—and even to how we want to be in the future. The only opinion of us that matters is what our Heavenly Father thinks of us. Please sincerely ask Him what He thinks of you."

If you're putting an honest, good-hearted effort into life, you are enough.

In my opinion, you should be doing good, clean, wholesome things. And helping others.

Everyone has different expectations for life. And different standards that they live by. No matter what, know that you're enough.

And that you're loved!

Until Next Time,
